Tarita Cameron
Tarita is a passionate and proud descendant of the Noongar and Yamatji nations of Western Australia, with over a decade of experience spanning the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. Tarita is a dedicated and results-driven professional committed to advancing Indigenous business opportunities and community engagement.
Tarita's career is recognised by her ability to foster effective relationships across diverse stakeholders, including government entities, non-profits, corporations, and members of the Indigenous community.
In her former roles across the resource sector and a renowned Not-For-Profit organisation supporting the Indigenous business community, Tarita has sharpened her kaartdijin (knowledge and expertise) in Community Investment, Indigenous Engagement, Environmental Reporting, and Supplier Diversity at both a National and International level.
In addition, Tarita is passionate about education and community development. As a tutor/facilitator at the University of Western Australia, she contributes to the advancement of Aboriginal health matters through her commitment to teaching and mentorship.
Tarita combines her community and leadership capabilities with her knowledge and experience of small business and Indigenous business to design, develop and deliver programs that create lasting impacts.
Outside of her professional endeavours, Tarita enjoys spending time with her family and friends on country, camping, fishing, and yarning, finding inspiration and balance in her pursuits.
