Belinda Kendall
Belinda is a proud Aboriginal woman who identifies
with the Worimi, Barkindji, Wailwan and Wiradjuri peoples of NSW. Belinda has
over 20 years work experience with children and families, business and
executive management with therapeutic approaches in child safety and healing
within community, government and corporate sectors. Belinda is well known for
her inspiring leadership and is an experienced manager with a depth of
understanding of strategic planning, management of multi-disciplinary teams,
adult education and wellbeing and self-care. She has many qualifications and
accreditations to support her work within legislative guidelines and has a
comprehensive understanding of government operations, policies and practices at
both state and Commonwealth levels.
Belinda is the Director and the CEO of majority-owned Aboriginal professional services business Curijo Pty Ltd and a finalist in the 2021 Canberra Women in Business Awards – Indigenous Businesswoman category. Belinda holds notable roles such as a Director the Canberra Indigenous Business Network, National Cultural Respect Steering Committee and current Board member of Karralika Programs, an organisation that supports individuals and families experiencing alcohol and other drug dependence to heal through residential and community-based treatment programs.
Belinda is well known and regarded for her facilitation of tailored adult education training packages, including Aboriginal Cultural Awareness, Leadership, Supplier Diversity, Inclusion and Diversity, Therapeutic Life Story Work, and Self-Care. Belinda’s work is from grassroots level through to executive level, which brings a unique outlook on the work she delivers. She bases all her work on humanistic approaches underpinned by cultural safety, strength-based practice and trauma-informed approaches.
